RMS - GM awarded for gallantry and undaunted devotion to duty. Mine disposal North Wales 23 Oct 41.  Working on a new type mine at Llanfairtalhaiarn in North Wales, he had to drill out the screw ring holding the fuze while Able Seaman Halls held an improvised gag for two hours.
